While many people now understand the importance of dog walks, this was not the case in 2019. At that time, the significance of dog walks and the essentials for a proper walk were not widely known.
To raise awareness about the importance of dog walks and precautions during walks, Elanco Korea’s tick prevention product for dogs, Seresto, launched the “Animal Wellbeing Campaign.”

One of the risks associated with dog walks is ticks, which attach to dogs and feed on their blood. To address this, we engaged influencers to highlight the importance of safe walks and promote Seresto’s benefits effectively.

Seresto Tick Prevention Collar for Dogs

Seresto, a tick prevention collar for dogs with 150 years of history and patented German technology, aims to raise awareness about the risks of ticks and provide an easy and effective prevention solution. To achieve this, we needed real-life reviews from dog owners about using the product during walks and the reactions of their dogs.
The most natural way to showcase this was through influencers who have dogs themselves.
Influencer marketing agency Avocado Giant:
1️⃣ Prioritized channels that featured both large and small dogs, given that Seresto offers separate products for different dog sizes.
2️⃣ Ensured a balanced selection of influencers with both large and small dogs on their channels.
3️⃣ Focused on detailed reviews through YouTube.
4️⃣ Utilized Instagram channels to enhance exposure.
We needed to find channels that showcased daily dog walks and were popular among dog owners on social media.

Girl’s Planet, one of Korea’s top pet YouTube channels featuring both large dog Sonya and small dog Planet, was an ideal influencer channel for Seresto’s campaign. With both large and small dogs frequently playing in their yard and engaging in activities like walking and swimming, their channel was well-suited for showcasing the importance of tick prevention.

Girl’s Planet naturally highlighted the importance of dog walks, precautions to take during walks, and proper use and application of Seresto. This approach resulted in a high engagement, with the video achieving 400,000 views and over 800 comments.
Avocado Giant didn’t just stop at watching the success unfold. We repurposed the content across multiple channels. We edited the Girl’s Planet video into a YouTube TrueView ad targeting dog owners and also uploaded additional content on Girl’s Planet’s Instagram, including a product giveaway event. This strategy implemented a “one source, multi-use” approach to maximize reach.
Seresto x Mocha Milk YouTube Influencer Marketing

If Korea has Girl and Planet, Canada has Mocha and Milk! Mocha Milk, a YouTube channel run by a Korean dog owner residing in Canada, also collaborated with Seresto.

Featuring a Pomeranian named Mocha and a Samoyed named Milk, Mocha Milk’s channel showcased both small and large dogs. The channel frequently features videos of the dogs playing in expansive Canadian pet parks, making it a perfect fit for our campaign.

Mocha Milk’s YouTube channel provided detailed information about the Seresto product, including how to apply it for both large and small dogs, potential side effects, and more. This resulted in over 220,000 views and more than 500 comments, significantly raising awareness about the importance of dog walks and the Seresto product.

Cola, the adorable dog who loves frolicking in the grass, also uses Seresto. Cola is not only famous on the Super Cola TV YouTube channel but also as a top star on Petstagram. Since ticks are prevalent in the grassy areas where Cola plays, Seresto was a perfect fit for this combination.

Cola’s stardom on both YouTube and Instagram allowed us to leverage both platforms. By showcasing Cola’s cute antics on both channels, we achieved high viewership and engagement, generating a significant number of comments and interactions.
